Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about the notarization process
A mobile notary travels to your location—home, office, hospital, or other convenient place—to notarize your documents. This saves you time and provides flexibility for signings that need to happen outside business hours or at specific locations.
Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID). The document must be current and not expired. All signers must be present with their own ID.
No. You must sign in the presence of the notary. If you've already signed, the document cannot be notarized and you may need to obtain a new copy.
It depends on the document type and state requirements. Some documents like wills and healthcare directives typically require witnesses. I'll confirm witness requirements when you book.
Most notarizations take 15–30 minutes. Loan signings and complex documents may take 45–60 minutes. I'll provide a time estimate when confirming your appointment.
I accept cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, and major credit cards. Payment is due at the time of service.
Please provide at least 2 hours notice for cancellations or reschedules. Cancellations within 2 hours may incur the travel fee. No-shows are billed the full travel fee.
I can notarize documents in any language, but I must be able to communicate directly with the signer in English to verify identity and willingness to sign.
